Two Beltway Boxers lost bouts on a card at the National Guard Armory in Philadelphia, PA.
"Relentless" Julius Kennedy of Windsor Mill, MD was stopped in the fourth round by Denis "Momma's Boy" Douglin of Marlboro, NJ in the middleweight co-feature contest. The time of the stoppage was 1:47.
Kennedy has lost five in a row and his record evens at 7-7-1, three KO's. Douglin is now 15-3, nine KO's.
Also on the card, middleweight Nycholas Ellerbe of Manassas, VA lost a four-round unanimous decision to Robert Sweeney of Sicklerville, NJ. Ellerbe lost by scores of 40-34 across the board as the referee deducted two points for holding in the third round.
Ellerbe is 0-2. Sweeney is 2-0.
