Lem Satterfield of RingTV.com is reporting that the 10-round heavyweight contest between NABO and WBC International Heavyweight champion Seth "Mayhem" Mitchell of Brandywine, MD and Chris Arreola of Escondido, CA has been moved to Saturday, September 7, one day later than originally scheduled. The venue remains the same -- the Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, CA -- and the bout will be the main event on Showtime Championship Boxing.
Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer told ESPN.com that the bout was originally slated for Friday, September 6 to avoid going head-to-head with HBO's scheduled broadcast of Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr.'s contest with Brian Vera. However, Chavez, Jr. suffered an eye injury that forced that contest to be postponed. Schaefer contacted the Fantasy Springs Casino and they agreed to switch the date.
