Priest Wins Tough Majority Decision Over Elkins!

When Josh Elkins sees the footage of his bout tonight against Brandon Priest he won't like what he sees.  Elkins dropped a four-round majority decision to Priest in a bout he had ample opportunities to win.

Elkins suffered a knockdown in the second round as he got caught with a shot in close and was dropped. In the same round, Elkins spun Priest completely around with a right hand and Priest eventually fell to the canvas.  However, referee Dave Braslow did not rule a knockdown.

In the third round, Elkins caught Priest stumbling in with a short right hand and got the knockdown.  Elkins seemed to be in control in the final round as he landed a beautiful right uppercut from distance that stunned Priest.  However, the West Dundee, IL competitor managed to hang on for the win.

Priest won his first pro bout by scores of 39-37 (Kenny Chevalier) and 38-37 (Paul Wallace).  The draw was 37-37 (Brent Bovell).  Priest is now 1-1.  Elkins is also 1-1, one KO.

Intermission -- then the Main Event, "Swift" Jarrett Hurd vs. George "El Gallo" Armenta.
