Beltway Boxers Willis "The Prophet" Lockett of Takoma Park, MD and Zakki Scott of Temple Hills, MD closed out the card at the DC Armory with unanimous decision victories.
Lockett won a six-round decision over Julius Fogle of Cary, NC. Overall, a very pedestrian contest where Lockett was busier than the game Fogle. Judge Paul Wallace saw a shutout for Lockett at 60-54, Lloyd Scaife saw the contest 59-55 while judge Wayne Smith registered a 58-56 decision.
Lockett creeps back over the .500 mark with a record of 13-12-5, five KO's. Fogle falls to 16-10, 11 KO's.
Scott won a four-round decision over Franklin Edmondson of Durham, NC, who accepted this contest late Thursday evening. Scott was able to land punches frequently although very few were damaging. Edmondson had little defense against Scott's output. All three judges scored a shutout for Scott. Wallace and Scaife scored the contest 40-36 while judge Smith saw a 40-35 score despite no knockdowns in the contest.
Scott remains undefeated at 4-0, one KO while Edmondson falls to 14-41-1, five KO's.
