Salisbury, MD middleweight Fernando Guerrero returns to action on Monday, November 11 for a 10-round contest against Raymond Gatica of Austin, TX at the Cowboys Dance Hall in San Antonio, TX.
Guerrero (25-2, 19 KO's) makes his first appearance in the ring since losing his bid for the WBO Middleweight championship via a seventh-round TKO to Peter Quillin on April 27 in Brooklyn, NY. This is Guerrero's third trip to the Lone Star State. Guerrero suffered his first pro loss in Austin, TX in June of 2011 when he was stopped in the fourth round by Grady Brewer. In November of 2012, Guerrero scored a six-round stoppage over JC Candelo in Humble, TX.
Gatica (13-1, eight KO's) has won two straight since losing for the first time as a pro. Gatica was stopped in the sixth round by Mark Jason Melligen in February of 2010 in Las Vegas. Gatica fractured his right hand during the contest and did not fight for three years afterwards.
The bout will be broadcast by Fox Sports 1 and Fox Espanol.
