Two more updates from what was a very busy Beltway Boxing Friday night in and out of the area.
Glen Burnie, MD welterweight Lenwood "Mr. Composure" Dozier lost an eight-round unanimous decision to Yudel Jhonson of Miami, FL in Monroeville, PA. Jhonson dropped Dozier in the first round and went on to win an 80-71 decision on all three scorecards.
Dozier's loss breaks a two-bout winning streak and his record is now 9-6-1, four KO's. Jhonson is now 15-1, nine KO's.
The bout for DC junior welterweight Cornelius "The Bodysnatcher" Whitlock in Verona, NY was scratched at the last minute. Originally slated to be the opening bout on the televised portion of the card, the bout against Eric Johnson was turned into a swing bout that didn't take place.
As we already posted, Baltimore, MD middleweight Cecil McCalla won a six-round unanimous decision on the undercard.
